Re: Data analysis for Air Monitoring in Corpus Christi, Texas

________________________________________________________

The following graphs show the levels of benzene detected on November 14, 2005 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The presence of benzene was verified by comparing the absorbance spectra of benzene detected in the field, to the benzene quantitative reference spectra. During the event, the two spectra matched with a correlation coefficient over 0.90. During the event, the highest level of benzene was 114.09 parts-per-billion. The TCEQ 1 hour screening levels for benzene are 25 parts-per-billion. In addition to benzene, other gases are present in the data spectra. Further identification and quantification of these gases will be forthcoming.
