Study release and community meeting at Mercy
Wellness Center in Eastwick, Philadelphia, PA
The Community/Labor Refinery Tracking Committee is hosting a community
meeting along with members from the National Bucket Brigade, a national
coalition of refinery fenceline communities, on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 6:
30pm at Mercy Wellness Center in Eastwick.
Refinery reformers from Louisiana, Texas, and California are joining
us to unveil a study done by the Center for the Study and Improvement of
Regulation at Carnegie Mellon University which chronicles effects the
refinery has on demographic changes in South and Southwest Philadelphia
over the past 30 years.
This is another important step along with the C/LRTC's recent settlement
with Sunoco for improving the overall health and safety of South and
Southwest Philadelphia residents.
The new study can be downloaded from www.refineryreform.org
